Dr. Chiemeziem Nwanyanwu has been a physician for 16 years and has specialized in infectious diseases for five years. She believes it is an honor to be an infectious disease doctor. Dr. Nwanyanwu finds satisfaction in evaluating patients with infectious diseases and assisting patients with an optimal outcome.

When Dr. Nwanyanwu is not working in the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her children and her husband. In addition, she relishes time with her extended family members and her church family. Dr. Nwanyanwu simply loves being with people.

For hobbies, she thoroughly enjoys reading novels, and fiction novels in particular, as they provide an escape from the real world. Singing is another passion that gives her great joy.

Dr. Nwanyanwu feels privileged to serve Memphis and our group of physicians. She finds the patients and people she works with to be wonderful people. She believes it is evident our staff genuinely cares for their patients and works together to ensure patients receive the best care.
